Deruta, Faenza and Florence all have a special Raffaellesco interpretation
in their majolica tradition. The name comes from Raphael, one of the
great
artists of the Italian Renaissance. The dragon represent a benevolent
power
who helps discovery and protects from adversaries and it is one of
the
grotesque motifs created by Raphael and his school when commissioned
by the
Pope to paint the Logge Vaticane. Nobody else in Deruta matches the
artistry
and fine details of Raffaellesco by Terrafuoco. HAND MADE IN DERUTA |
